I recently booked a day's care hire for an absurd 15 gbp through AutoEurope (via Kayak) - however the excess was a mighty 1,600 gbp.
No doubt, Hertz would have tried charging me an arm and a leg to bring down the excess ... however Money Maxim (via MSE) has a handy search function ... and so I got a day's cover for just a couple of quid ... bargain !
